Play-off FC Zimbru Chișinău - FC Tiligul Tiraspol   +w/o
First edition of the championship was marked by the Transnistrian war which forced the federation not to let the Tiraspol and Bender teams to
compete for the last two days for safety reasons, assigning the 0-0 table and one point for each team.
On the 12th round Zimbru and Tiligul were both 33 points and in the next match Zimbru lost against Bugeac Comrat leaving Tiraspol's team at the top
of the table. On the final day the Tiligul would have had to meet Constructorul Leova, already mathematically relegated, and with more than likely
success would have won the title but the federation did not allow the match to be disputed and the first place was hung up by the Zimbru.
Federation thus imposed a play-off for the awarding of the championship that was not played in protest by Tiligul.
