The United Nations recommended system was approved in 2012, based on the rules  for romanization of the Ukrainian geographical names adopted on January 27, 2010 by the Ukrainian Government. The BGN/PCGN system will continue to be used instead for the romanization of the names of the clubs  if different from the name of the city / locality.
